FOOD FIGHT

Before I get started on this post, thought I'd just share that very soon, I'm going to get down to writing a post on my own food journey which I'm going through .I have been facing allergies, and beginning to recognize them as I listen to my body. I have been discovering more about the food I have been eating and I have come to realize that my  "healthy" dietary habits I once believed to be right for my body,  really hasn't been.

So as I go about my food trials and tests on a daily basis, I examine, listen and talk to my body to note what I am reacting to, and what I am not reacting to. I will need a good few hours to write this post in depth though, because I will state all my findings, research and personal notes, and condense it into something short and easy to understand (with as little scientific jargon as possible).  One thing for sure though? Processed food? IT'S OUT. Enough of this rubbish for my body, in any form, wholemeal or not, I've begun to realize the importance of being an informed and curious consumer.

Till then, let me get on with this post, and share this video. It's called "Food Fight" and it was put together by Earth Amplified ( a four-piece band which plays conscious 'Roots-Rap-Reggae' . They too stress the importance of staying AWAY from processed junk, and not supporting  manufacturers such as Monsanto. The band claims to be here to uplift the people and the planet) (which btw, after listening to their stuff, i do not doubt).

Anyways, this video rips right at the core of what's really killing Americans-food. Honestly, not just Americans, I'd say most people on this planet. The processed crap shoved in our faces on a daily basis makes me sick (haha literally), and to be exact, the nutrient-depleted, overly-refined, pasteurized homogenized GMO-contaminated pesticide-sprayed corn syrup laden preservative packed food we are consuming is killing blacks, whites, browns, yellows, reds, greens, purples, pinks and everyone else, by the millions, every minute.

I quote from the website that this video is " a revolutionary edutainment tool- a short musical hip-hop story, accompanied by a high school curriculum-for teaching kids about the realities of our food system and it's effect on the their bodies, their community and their planet".

People who take the trouble to create videos like these, they dare to be different, dare to break the chains of commercial poison that infests our society. Hats off to them, for attempting to plant seeds of change and curiosity, for awakening and enlightening.

If there are parts you don't understand, Google it, come on, start your OWN food and learning journey, it's meant to be.. that's why you are watching this n the first place. Beats watching em Harlem Shake videos.........thats' if you want to engage your brain..
