AZODICARBONAMIDE to be removed from Subway breads

Well, if you haven't already heard, Subway is going to remove a chemical known as AZODICARBONAMIDE from it's breads. This chemical is used to increase elasticity in everything from Yoga mats to shoe rubber to synthetic leather. The reason it's put into breads is because it acts as a dough conditioner.

The Infographic below is from a blog, foodbabe.com. The writer of this blog, Vani Hari is the person behind organizing the petition against Subway using this harmful ingredient in their breads!

Hear this, so as you can see, the chemical is banned in the UK, Europe and Australia, but it's legal in North America. I really wonder if it's legal in Asia? Is this chemical in the Subway breads we eat here?Hmmm

Anyway, I think it's great that Subway is doing something about it, you know, removing the chemical. Least they bother to act on things to make their customers feel better about eating their food.
