Pls help ♥

Please help my friends Deb and Sarah raise money for their mother. Donate if you can ♥.

The story:

In November 2012 shortly after her 50th birthday, our mother Sandra was diagnosed with Stage III ovarian cancer. It was a great shock. Everyone would always tell us how young and beautiful she was(as if she had been a child mother), and she took care of herself well. Nobody expects to get cancer...but our mother is a fighter.

She smiled through 6 months of chemotherapy as well as a major surgery- inclusive of hysterectomy and removal of the ovaries. She was strong and positive. After all this fight and the constant reassurance from doctors that it was very treatable and she would soon recover, we were under the impression that it was going to be over.

After some time on the recovery road, she felt that something was going on with her back. After scans and an MRI they found an anomaly in the spinal canal. For ovarian cancer to spread to the spine is very rare. The doctors thought it was some unrelated issue and gave her medicine to treat the other strange problems with her nerves and motor skills. Within a month they did another MRI and found that now there were tumours dotting most of her spine. Upon further investigation there was cancer in her spine and in the lining of her brain.

They basically said it could happen any moment now. She's been moved to a hospice and is at peace with what is to come. Amazing. It feels stupid for us to be distraught when she is so calm, but the pain of loss seems inevitable. Our mother has faced many difficult times in her life, but has also touched many people who remember her beauty and love. She will live on through those people as well as through us. She gave us the invaluable gift of being like her.

This campaign is to honour our mother and to help us deal with the financial repercussions of what is happening. We want to give our mother the goodbye she deserves, and we could use some help paying off those hospital bills.

Tears,Love & Hope
