SOOOOOOOO, Interesting news.. in SINGAPORE....
Why this message you may ask? Well the reasons are below:
- "If you are not fit, you are going to fall sick ... and spread the germs to patients and family members," Question: If you are fit, you.. can't fall sick? Or wait wait.. if your fit you can't be a carrier of some pathogen?
- Health care workers will not have any credibility to help patients lead a healthy lifestyle if they are overweight. "Unless we are able to say 'Look at me, this is what I do'." Yes, image is very important in the health line. How you look on the outside really determines how you can help patients you know? Yes, because your average Joe looks up to his/hers nurse or doctor, not the skinny actors/actresses singers or dancers who are constantly flashed before their eyes in every nook and cranny of their primary and peripheral vision.
Question: What if your really slim, but pretty unhealthy inside, ( clogged arteries, lots of em fatty deposits ) or what if your pretty slim but you have bad lifestyle habits like smoking, drinking.. sniffing glue perhaps?.. hmm....
I wonder if Alexandra Healths approach has been influenced by external factors such as something as simple and ubiquitous as ummm lets see.. hmm.. the.. media? oh wait,no way.. how can that be..? Surely they should be smarter?

I'm all for moderation man, but seriously their reasoning is questionnable. Listen we all have to be healthy, yes, and those in the health care line really should too, but when it comes down to things like preventing those who aren't healthy from getting a promotion, that just promotes the importance of the individuals IMAGE. This downplays the most important factor which is- we have to be healthy so we may enhance our chances of enjoying BETTER HEALTH and more time with the ones we love.
we gots ta take care of what is in the heart man, it's for the heart :)
