Welcome to Jonestown

  1. You want to make the world a better place
  2. You are against racism
  3. You think everybody should be treated equally
  4. You believe in doing charitable works
  5. You wish you could find others who feel the same way as you, who believe in the same things as you do
The thing is, you don't quite know where to start, until..

one day, you happen to meet someone else who feels the same way as you do. That person welcomes you and promises you that if you join his following ( which consists of other people who think the way you do) YOU can finally begin to make the difference  you've been waiting to make.

You are elated. You cannot believe you are one step closer to creating your own utopia. You join him. By doing so, You finally meet other people who are JUST like you. Intelligent, kind , passionate, large hearted, and eager to make a difference in the world.

Welcome to the Peoples Temple.

Over 30 years ago, the largest massacre to date took place. I heard about this very recently and thought I'd share.More than 900 people were killed. These were people from all walks of life, who shared a few core similarities. They were also followers of  Jim Jones ( leader of the People's Temple).

There are many articles available which call this a mass SUICIDE. I don't believe it was suicide, that is an absolutely ridiculous statement to make. I don't believe 900 people ( of which about 300 were children) would voluntarily kill themselves. Cover ups cover ups.. not good not good. Check out the links rainbows, its very sad. It is really eye and mind opening. Makes you realise there is ALOT going on around us.This took place over 30 years ago, imagine what we are subjecting our minds to in today's world without even being aware off?

  1. heyyyyyy .... i read about this in a book by chee soon juan (just in case i`m being watched for typing that name, i have no political affiliations at the moment!) ....posted it on facebook, but hey, someone doesnt have facebook anymore. anyway, the point made by him, if i remember correctly, was that the massacre could have been prevented if they was accurate reporting by the media. something, some people say, we lack in sg =)

  3. I couldnt watch the videos because they are no longer active. Oprah did a show last year or early this year - I cant remember - but it was about the Jonestown Massacre. She also interviewed Jim Jones' son who is also named after the father. It was absolute mind control BUT it was also to do with money and power, hence the politician that was shot and killed by Jones' men just before he could board his jet. After that, he instructed everyone to drink the kool aid that he had spiked. They thought it was 'time to go'. His son however didnt drink it but his other siblings did. Here is what we heard and saw his son say. Search for the jim jones jr interview on her site as well. http://www.oprah.com/oprahshow/Mass-Murderer-Jim-Jones-Son-Speaks-Out
